Corona protocol

A SAFE AND CAREFREE HOLIDAY AT CASA DE LA LUNA *

Our casa is small-scale and located in a rural and not busy area. Of course we use a corona protocol.

We paint "en plein air" in the beautiful bays and walk and cycle along the coast and through the Gavarres. Almost all other activities take place outdoors.

As 'Dutch locals', we are well aware of the measures in Spain and what is and is not possible. We will inform you about this in your own language.

Our guests are mainly Dutch, who are now used to the 'one and a half meter society'.

It is also easier to make agreements with Dutch speakers about how we deal with this at Casa de la Luna, for example during breakfast and at the swimming pool.

Restrictions may apply to tourist places and museums. We are aware of the current situation and share it with our guests.

We know the area well and can give you pre-eminently safe 'go local' tips to get the most out of your holiday. And of course we know which restaurants in the area you can safely go to for good food.

In the unlikely event that assistance is required in any area, we know the way and also speak Spanish to assist you.

Measures to offer everyone a safe and carefree holiday:

The measures we have taken to prevent COVID-19 meet the requirements set for us by the Spanish government, as well as the guidelines of the Dutch RIVM. In this day and age it is very important to be alert to hygiene and to take appropriate measures for this. We will do everything we can to provide our guests with a dignified and relaxing holiday with all the personal attention and service that everyone has come to expect from us.

The 'one and a half meter society' also applies in Begur, so we ask you to observe this distance towards others. To go to your room or outside, we ask you to take other guests into account and give each other space, so that the 1.5 meters distance is guaranteed. That can mean that you sometimes have to wait to go in or out. In Spain it is more common for you to give way, instead of taking it :-)

At the pool there is enough space, so that everyone has their own place at least 1.5 meters from other guests. After using your own bath towel, you can hand it in at the end of the afternoon and it will be washed out. If desired, a bath towel is provided by Casa de la Luna.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to receive visitors from non-guests.

Do you have a cold, such as a cold, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, mild cough or an increase to 38 degrees Celsius? Then stay in your room and report it to us. In consultation we provide assistance, such as a doctor's visit and / or tests.

If you already have symptoms before leaving home: stay at home, get tested as soon as possible and act according to the applicable regulations!

How are the rules in Spain?

In public places you keep 1.5 m away. This rule is not necessary for people from your own 'bubble', family or people you travel or live with. Face masks are required in public places and in any place where you think people may get too close together. So always take one with you! So also in the supermarket. On arrival and departure in restaurants and bars. They are also compulsory at the table, except during dinner, of course.

All these measures ensure that you go home as healthy as you came. Of course we cannot give a 100% guarantee that nothing will happen. That is why we also exclude any responsibility for this. But if we together ensure that we take responsibility for each other, it will be all right and everyone can enjoy a nice and safe holiday with us.

At Casa de la Luna we have summarized the measures in the protocol below. We are introducing measures that are aimed at minimizing the risk of contamination, of course, these measures go hand in hand with the already well-known regulations:

General

  • In the reception hall of the airport, we greet each other at 1.5 meters and ask you to clean your hands with disinfectant gel before getting into the car. You must keep your mouth mask on during transport in the car.

  • On arrival you can change and freshen up in your room.

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap.

  • Cough and sneeze into the inside of your elbow.

  • Take each other into account and keep sufficient distance (1.5m), for example wait a while if someone is in the hallway or stairs.

  • Use the disinfection gel / water with soap before using the refrigerator, coffee machine, drinks, dishes, etc. in the common areas.

  • Use paper tissues and throw them away immediately (not in the toilet)

  • We have a thermometer available for use. If someone has a fever of 38 degrees or more, please contact us and go straight to the room.

  • We clean the contact points in the general areas and outside on a daily basis

Room

  • In the room is disinfection gel.

  • Only use the toilet in your own bathroom.

  • We have prepared 1 mouth mask per day for each guest. Extra masks are available for € 1.

  • We have done the cleaning of the rooms as carefully as possible in advance.

  • Ventilate the room regularly. Note: Do not use air conditioning.

Swimming pool

  • Use the pool towels provided by Casa de la Luna * on the sunbeds

  • Use the outdoor shower and rinse off the water with the squeegee

Breakfast

  • We serve breakfast at 9 a.m. or at another time in consultation.

  • In principle, we serve breakfast outside on the terrace and, if this is not possible due to the weather, in the rooms.

  • There is a coffee machine and kettle in the guesthouse downstairs as well as upstairs in the general area. Obviously, not everyone can access the coffee machine at the same time, so keep an appropriate distance. We will regularly clean the coffee machine.

Dinner

  • We go to restaurants in the area. Here we follow the restaurant's protocols. For dinner at home, we provide the dishes at one of the large outdoor tables. The snacks are also served outside. In case of bad weather, we will consult in consultation where the food can best be served.

All measures are based on current knowledge of facts, of course subject to changes by the CCAES (Spanish RVIM). Then we will implement this immediately.

Hygiene and cleaning

We apply strict hygiene measures around cleaning of general areas and in the rooms:

General areas are ventilated daily. Use the sliding doors that are open during the day as much as possible, so that you do not have to touch door handles. There is a bottle of disinfectant gel on the outside table on the terrace, so you can disinfect your hands before entering.

We use paper towels, disinfectant wipes and other disposable cleaning products to clean the rooms and bathrooms.

We first clean (remove dirty bacteria and impurities), then we disinfect (kill bacteria with bleach, alcohol solution or disinfectants. By doing this we best prevent the spread of infections. We check the expiration dates of the cleaning products we use .

We wash the linen and towels at the hottest recommended temperature.

We also disinfect the sunbeds by the pool every day before use.

What if you have to deal with corona complaints during your stay?

During corona time it is extra important to be well informed about the conditions of your travel insurance. What is covered differs per travel insurer. The first thing to do if you have symptoms is to contact us. Then check with your travel insurer what to do. Casa de la Luna will then contact the local health authorities for a test. While awaiting the result, avoid contact with others and, as far as possible, keep your distance from your travel companions to prevent further contamination. If the test shows that you have corona, follow local advice and the advice of your travel insurer. If you need help, please contact your travel insurer or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This can be done by telephone on +31 247 247 247 or by calling the number of the Dutch embassy in Spain: 0034 952 380 888

Via Whatsapp +316 8238 7796 or via Twitter at @ 24 / 7BZ.
